  • Terrorist attacks on London

I think it’s far too early to give any real comment on today’s attacks, other than to condemn those behind them and extend my deepest sympathies to those affected. I feel certain that this will be revisited over a number of years, but for now, I think it’s right to leave comment there.

I think it’s fairly clear from my second post on this subject that I can only echo the sentiments of the first sentence of Rebecca’s comment, but I’m sure it’s natural to feel so very angry, as the rest of the comment demonstrates, if you were personally affected by the tragic events.

    Comment from Maximilian Goldenburg

Incidentally, is Rebecca suggesting that Saddam Hussein is mentally ill (viz a lunatic), and therefore cannot be held responsible for his actions in a court of law as in the forthcoming trial?

I would argue most strenuously that Saddam Hussein is not a lunatic, and should he be found guilty of his crimes, suffer the appropriate punishment, namely execution.

No doubt the “lunatic” liberals will argue that acts of genocide are not worthy of punishment, but the individuals responsible merely need to be “re-educated”. I wonder if these same liberals are celebrating the release of Karla Homolka?
