  • Lots of folk seem to be chit-chatting about the teachers’ strike today… But no-one I’ve talked to supports them. Not suprising, really. «

So you think we have crime problems in the UK and US?
A story via Alarabia News Service reports a rash of thefts in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
If you are going to that place, keep a close watch on your PENIS.
At least 14 men have told police witch doctors (unknown if they are from Simon’s medical school) have stolen their family producing part.
Thisi has resulted in a near riot situation.
The medical people in the DRC have similar problems to British doctors when it comes to low wages. But the witch doctors in the DRC have dome something about it.
In order to obtain more money they have taken the law into their own hands (or lower parts).
A witch doctor will go up to a man on the street, touch him and mumble something in “medical speak” which means “your money or your penis.”
They claim if they don’t get a bribe they will shrink the penis down to nothing.
Several men in the capital claim this was done to them.
Police are investigating the “crime” but say they are at a loss as there is no law concerning the theft of a penis.
The UK doctors might consider such a tactic next time the government people go into a cost cut mode.
But how do I explain my problem since i have never been to the Congo?
