I had a fistula put into my left arm and my wife and I came back from the doctors office a couple weeks later and were going to go up to Saint Ignace on Lake Michigan to celebrate that fact they finally put it in right. (They had to try several times)Because of the many operation attempts my arms just above the elbow on the inside are badly scarred. I tell people who stare at them, “It was some bar fight. You should see the other guy!”
We got about halfway there and my car skidded on some loose gravel on the road and rolled several times. We wound up hanging upside down by the seat belts. Dottie and I are not cut out to be in the parachute forces.
The paramedics got us out and took us to hospital. We are still walking wounded and the accident was over a month ago.
I got a new car, but they can’t get me a new left arm and this old one refuses to work right.
The doctors tell me my end stage renal failure is terminal, but I don’t feel like dieing yet,so I refuse to.
Other then that it has been a nice summer.

From what I’ve seen, Mort, a little bit of positivity goes along way in medicine, so you keep on refusing!

Bad news about the car crash, eh? At least you’re both on the mend.

How’s the fistula going? Have you had hordes of medical students crowding round you to “have a feel of it”, yet? If not, I’m sure it won’t be long till you do!

Try to keep smiling, and all the best.
