About me

You can’t win ’em all…

After holding my own in the non-aligned category of Iain Dale’s political blog rankings, I’m amused to see that overall I’ve dropped from being the 69th best political blog in the UK to, err, 198th. I guess you can’t win ’em all.

This week’s Gazette post was another eerily familiar one, though this one’s been reheated so many times now I fear it’s lost all nutritional value. Ah, well…

Columbus Day is soon upon us here in the USA.
The American Indian movement has long sought to discredit the day saying it was the beginning of the end for Native Americans.
My squaw and I disagree and say all Native American (red) Indians should also celebrate this man.
Columbus is considered to be one of the greatest white European navigators of all time.
He did not discover America.
He sailed to the island of Hispaniola and thought he found India. So he called the people he met Indians.
Port Au Prince is several thousand miles from Bombay, so his navigation was way off.
Even I do not get lost by that much.
But the whites still say he was one of their best.
Every Red Indian should celebrate the day the white folks honour this man!
