  • Embarrassment about mental health costs lives

Much like a certain other blogger, I’ve been really struggling for what to write for this week’s Gazette Communities piece. The result, which is now online, was Embarrassment about mental health costs lives.

It’s not brilliantly written, but is sort of locally relevant at the moment, with a sort of national resonance, and is very loosely based on this post from last year.

I’m pretty sure it’s my worst one over there yet…

Might interest you – there was some story in the gazette about nurses in the mental health service using drugs to keep them going for their shift… just saw it when I was in Bells, so don’t know the whole story. Think it would have been on Saturday (14th).

Thank you very much! The link problem was due to the fact that the Gazette bits are pre-written to be published at 9am on the dot on a Monday morning, and the posts here pointing to them are pre-written to appear at 9.01am.

Because the Gazette bit isn’t published yet, I have to work out where it will be published on the Gazette site to get the link into this post – and this week, I forgot that the Moveable Type link structure (which the Gazette use) is different to the WordPress link structure I have set up here, and so use most frequently.

Oops. But as you say, it’s all fixed now!
